1. The Infinitive
1)基本结构:to + 动词原形, 但有时也可不带to。
2)动词不定式在句中的作用:
* 动词不定式是一种非谓语动词形式,它在句中不能作谓语,不随主语的人称, 数,时态,语态等变化。
* 动词不定式保留动词的特点,所以它有自己的宾语,状语,构成不定式短语。
* 动词不定式在句中可作主语,表语,宾语,宾语补足语,定语和状语。
    3)动词不定式在句中作主语:
To study for our country is our duty.
请记住下面的句型:
It is/ was + adj/ n + to do …
To keep our environment clean and tidy is our duty.
= It is our duty to keep our environment clean and tidy.
To learn English well is very important.
= It is very important to learn English well.
    4)动词不定式在句中作表语
Her wish is to become a scientist.
5)动词不定式在句中作宾语
动词不定式在及物动词后面,就是不定式作宾语。常见的动词有:
want, wish, hope, try, learn, help, like 等。
I want to take these books to the classroom.
Miss Zhao likes to help her students with their lessons.
* 有些及物动词后面还可以跟带有疑问代词(who, which, what等)或疑问副词
(when, where, how, why等)的不定式作宾语。
He didn’t know how to use the new machine.
*  请记住下面的句型:
think/ find + it + adj + to do sth.
I think it very important to read aloud every day.
He found it very difficult to get to sleep.
6)动词不定式在句中作宾语补足语
不定式结构中有一种结构是谓语动词加宾语(名词或代词),再紧跟一个不定式,形成一个复合结构。我们称这种结构为动词不定式作宾语补足语。
tell sb. to do sth       help sb. (to) do sth.      would like sb. to do sth.
ask sb. not to do sth    teach sb. to do sth  …
Our teacher often tells us to listen carefully in class.
* 没有to的不定式作宾语补足语常在下列动词后:
see, hear, watch, make, let, have…
We often hear children sing this song.
The boy’s mother made him do more exercises.
7)动词不定式在句中作状语
动词不定式作状语表示目的,结果,原因。
*表目的状语的不定式可有两种:
·不及物动词后。
I come to tell you the good news.
·短语in order to do为了做某事。
The teacher repeated the sentence in order to make us remember it.
*表结果状语的不定式记住以下两个短语:
… enough to do…
The room is not big enough to hold ten people.
too…to do
The boy is too young to go to school.
*表原因的不定式作状语常常是这样的结构:
be + adj to do
常用的形容词如:sorry, glad, happy, lucky, angry, clever, wrong, right …
I’m glad to see you.
You are clever to answer the difficult question correctly.
8)动词不定式在句中作定语
不定式有形容词的作用,在句中作定语,修饰名词或代词。
不定式放在所修饰的名词或代词之后。
中文常译为“…要(做某事)”,“…的”。
I have a lot of work to do. 我有很多工作要做。
I’d like to have something to drink. 我想要点喝的东西。

2. The Passive Voice
主动语态和被动语态
用法:英语动词有两种语态,即主动语态和被动语态。主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者,被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者。
结构:被动语态由“助动词be+过去分词”构成
被动语态也有各种时态,被动语态的时态由助动词be的变化决定,过去分词不变。
一般现在时的被动语态: am/ is / are +过去分词
一般过去时的被动语态: was/ were +过去分词
一般将来时的被动语态: will + be +过去分词
含有情态动词的被动语态:情态动词+ be +过去分词
被动语态的用法:
(1)当我们不知道谁是动作的执行者或没有必要指出谁是动作的执行者时;
(2)只需强调动作的承受者时。
eg.   This car is made in China.
This jacket is made of cotton.
主动语态变被动语态:
